Redwood <br />city I Calftmia <br />NOTICE OF MEASURES TO BE VOTED ON <br />NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the following two measures are to be voted on at the general municipal <br />election to be held in the City of Redwood City, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ELECTION PROCEDURES CHARTER AMENDMENT <br />MEASURE <br />City of Redwood City Election Procedures Charter Amendment. Shall the measure amending the <br />Redwood City Charter to align the date of the Redwood City General Municipal Election with the <br />Statewide General Election date, clarify the date by which Redwood City elections must be certified and <br />City Councilmembers sworn in, and provide for election of City Councilmembers by -district in order to <br />comply with State law, be adopted? <br />Yes No <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY MAYORAL TERM CHARTER AMENDMENT <br />MEASURE <br />City of Redwood City Mayoral Term Charter Amendment. Shall the measure amending the Redwood City <br />Charter to shorten the term of Mayor from two years to one year in order to allow more <br />Councilmembers to serve as Mayor during their tenure on City Council, be adopted? <br />Yes No <br />For further information or to obtain a copy of the Resolution, contact City Clerk Pamela Aguilar at <br />(650)780-7220 or paguilareredwoodclty.orIz. <br />NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that primary arguments in favor of or against each of the above measures <br />may be submitted in writing to the City Clerk's Office, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />for printing and distribution to the voters, pursuant to provisions of the California Elections Code, by <br />5:00 P.M. on August 19, 2022. Rebuttal arguments by authors of said primary arguments that have <br />been selected to be printed in the voter information guide may be filed in like manner by 5:00 P.M. on <br />August 29, 2022. <br />Printed arguments submitted to voters shall be titled either "Argument in Favor of Measure or <br />"Argument Against Measure _", and "Rebuttal to Argument in Favor of Measure " or "Rebuttal to <br />Argument Against Measure _" respectively. <br />All arguments concerning the above measures must be accompanied by the printed names and <br />signatures of the authors submitting it.
