REV: 12-08-2022 RL <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br /> <br />The Consultant will implement an integrated youth cannabis education and prevention <br />program called “Cannabis Decoded” to reach key local community audiences. <br /> <br />Task 1: Parent/Caregiver Presentation & Materials <br />Consultant will create Parent Train-the-Trainer workshop materials in order to create a <br />Parent/Caregiver Presentation regarding cannabis use among teens and young adults. <br />This deliverable will include development of the following products: one (1) updated, <br />professionally designed presentation slidedeck, one (1) updated training guide for <br />presenters and two (2) 1-hour Zoom training sessions in English only to support trainers <br />distributing the information. The first 1-hour training session will include a full run through <br />of the presentation as a participant and the second 1-hour training session will include <br />technical assistance and review of the training guide for presenters. The two (2) trainings <br />will be in English only, and the materials will be created in English and Spanish. In addition <br />to the presentation slidedeck and training guide for presenters, Consultant will also <br />provide customized collateral materials on educating teens and young adults about <br />cannabis and safe storage of cannabis to complement the Parent/Caregiver Presntation, <br />which will be delivered in a print ready format. <br />The goals of the Parent/Caregiver Presentation in the community are: <br />●To help prepare trusted adults to speak with youth about cannabis. <br />●To discuss the physical and mental health impacts of cannabis use. <br />●To explain how trusted adults can have age-appropriate conversations with their <br />children. <br />●To teach parents how to be an “askable adult'' for youth and young adults with <br />questions regarding cannabis. <br />City will pay Consultant an installment of $20,000 prior to commencement of Task 1, <br />pursuant to an invoice consistent with Section 6, Compensation. Compensation for Task <br />1 is considered start-up funds for the Services. <br />Task 2: Local Social Media Implementation <br />Consultant will provide City focused public health outreach and marketing social media <br />channels to target market Redwood City teens and young adults. <br />Consultant will provide City materials that are related to its Cannabis Decoded campaign, <br />which was developed for the Marijuana Education Initiative from the County of San Mateo, <br />and encourage peer-to-peer conversations about cannabis via social media and work with <br />local schools and community-based organizations (CBOs). Consultant will provide all the <br />resources, technical assistance and Zoom training for up to 2 schools, chosen by the <br />Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Director or their designee, to support <br />administrators and teachers working with students to create social media campaigns.
