City of Redwood City serving as fiscal agent for Redwood City Together
Grant Agreement
REV: 01-24-23 RL
What you can expect from SV2:
We ask that you hold us accountable to being a good partner to your organization.
Here is what you can expect from us:
●Overall, solidarity and being in community together
●Timely and transparent responses
●Amplifying your work and impact in our network
●Language interpretation and translation (if needed)
●Beyond-the-dollars support engagement at your discretion
●Optional speaking opportunities
●Optional invitations to our community sessions
●Friendship!
SV2’s Relationship with Grantee Partners:
Along with our funding comes our belief that you best know your work and the people / communities
you support. We so appreciate your social impact leadership and growth potential and look forward
to supporting you (as helpful) in this journey.
SV2 provides unrestricted grants. We encourage our Grantee Partners to use these grants to increase
their internal capacity and health. Together with our Grantee Partners, we have learned that
increasing internal health and capacity will lead to increased social impact. We are particularly
committed to the following organizational health / capacity areas:
1. Evaluation and Learning
2. Strategy Development
3. Talent and Human Capital
4. Operations and Systems
5. Finances
6. Fund Development
We recognize these capacity areas can be particularly hard for nonprofits to fund, yet essential to a
nonprofit’s future success. We hope our unrestricted funding contributes to this success.
Checking In:
To help our partnership understand your organization’s impact and strengths, challenges, and ways
we might support your organization, SV2 will ask for updates related to your progress towards your
social impact and organizational health and capacity goals, in the format you prefer - e.g. a phone
call, a brief report, or something else. In our efforts, we strive to honor your team’s capacity and
time. We will do our best to limit such requests, leave ample time to respond, and re-purpose
information you’ve already shared with us, other funders, and publicly. We remain open to candid
feedback and improvement. At a minimum, we will ask for an annual check-in in order to share
progress towards your impact goals, celebrate your successes, and support you in any challenges.
ATTY/AGR.2023.011/Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (Organizational Grant) (Page 2 of 5)
