GARDNER CENTER FOR YOUTH AND THEIR COMMUNITIES <br />(STANFORD UNIVERSITY), REDWOOD CITY TOGETHER, <br />AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY SERVING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR <br />REDWOOD CITY TOGETHER <br />FISCAL YEARS 2022-2024 <br />This is a Membership Agreement (“Agreement”), made and entered in this ____ day of <br />_____________, 20___, by and between John Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities <br />(“Stanford University”), Redwood City Together (Redwood City Together), a community <br />collaborative that coordinates the delivery of services to children, youth and families living in the <br />City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City, <br />and THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of <br />California ("City") serving as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City Together (collectively, “the Parties”). <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, in 1995 the City of Redwood City, the Redwood City Elementary School <br />District, the Sequoia High School District and the County of San Mateo formed Redwood City <br />2020 (then known as Redwood City 2000) to provide leadership and oversight necessary to <br />develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and <br />youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable <br />resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children, and; <br />WHEREAS, each year since the formation of Redwood City 2020, these original <br />collaborative partners (the City, Redwood City School District, Sequoia High School District and <br />County of San Mateo) have each annually renewed their membership in Redwood City 2020 by <br />formal agreement, and <br />WHEREAS, over time, the original collaborative partners who formed Redwood City 2020 <br />have been joined by Cañada College, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities <br />at Stanford University (Stanford University), Kaiser Permanente, and Sequoia Healthcare District <br />as additional collaborative partners; and <br />WHEREAS, since joining, these additional collaborative partners (Cañada College, John <br />W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford University (Stanford University), <br />Kaiser Permanente, and Sequoia Healthcare District) have each annually renewed their <br />membership in Redwood City 2020 by formal agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, in January 2021, the Redwood City 2020 Leadership Council members voted <br />to change Redwood City 2020’s name to “Redwood City Together”; and <br />WHEREAS, all of the original and additional collaborative partners desire to renew their <br />membership in the newly named Redwood City Together for Fiscal Years 2022-2024 by formal <br />agreement; and <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.025/John W.
