REV: 03-28-2023 JB <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES <br />FOR UTILITIES SYSTEMS, DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, PARK PROJECTS, <br />FACILITIES PROJECTS, SPECIAL PROJECTS. <br />Upon written request from the City Engineer through the issuance of a Task Order, the <br />Consultant shall provide services, which may include: <br />As-needed, supplemental, on-call general and specialized structural engineering support <br />services during the planning, analysis, design, and construction of capital improvement <br />projects and in support of ongoing operation and maintenance of the existing water, <br />groundwater, recycled water, sewer collection, stormwater, flood resilience systems, <br />Parks, Facilities systems and infrastructure. <br />A. Building evaluation and Assessments. <br />B. Hazard Mitigation Reports. <br />C. Retrofit of Existing Buildings. <br />D. Repairs of Structural Components and Materials. <br />E. Structural Materials Testing. <br />F. Fire and Earthquake Damage Review and Reconstruction. <br />G. Concrete Damage Evaluation and Repair. <br />H. Structural Consultation and Design. <br />I. Renovations and Remodels. <br />J. Seismic Specific Structural Analysis. <br />K. Plan checking and Peer Review. <br />L. Provide design, inspection, and construction management support during <br />construction. Attend meetings with City staff, and/or make presentations to City <br />staff, other City consultants, or City committees; and <br />MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR STRUCTURAL PROJECTS. <br />Upon written request from the City Engineer through the issuance of a Task Order, the <br />Consultant shall provide services, which may include: <br />Project and construction management for a variety of public facilities. Consultant shall <br />assign qualified engineering staff to serve as the Project Manager/Resident Engineer <br />(“PM/RE”) during the design and/or construction of capital improvement projects and <br />be responsible for ensuring the completion of work by overseeing consultant and/or <br />contractor’s activities. The PM/RE shall be responsible for ensuring that all work is <br />built to the standards defined by the contract documents.
