ATTY/RESO.0034/PC RESO RECOMMENDING CEQA APPROVAL – 505 E. BAYSHORE – EXHIBIT B
REV: 05-12-23 JB
Mitigation Monitoring or Reporting Program
505 East Bayshore Road Project (SCH #2021080447)
Impacts Mitigation Timeframe for
Implementation
Responsibility
for
Implementation
Oversight of
Implementation
introduction of
invasive weeds
during and
following project
construction which
could lead to
degradation of
muted tidal marsh
habitat.

Less than
Significant Impact
with Mitigation
Incorporated

noxious weeds will be avoided by the use of the following
invasive weed best management practices:
• The use of moderate or highly invasive and/or
noxious weeds (as defined by California Department
of Food and Agriculture) for landscaping is
prohibited.
• During project construction, all seeds and straw
materials used on-site will be weed-free rice (or
similar material acceptable to the City), straw, and
all gravel and fill material will be certified weed-
free to the satisfaction of the City. Any deviation
from this will be approved by the City.
• During project construction, vehicles and all
equipment will be washed (including wheels,
undercarriages, and bumpers) before entering the
proposed project footprint. Vehicles coming to the
site will be cleaned at existing construction yards or
legally operating car washes.
• Following construction of the project, a standard
erosion control seed mix (acceptable to the City)
from a local source will be planted within the
temporary impact zones on any disturbed ground
that will not be under hardscape, landscaped, or
maintained. This will minimize the potential for the
germination of the majority of seeds from non-
native, invasive plant species.

landscaping is prohibited
throughout the life of the
project. During project
construction, all seeds and
straw materials used on-site
will be weed-free rice straw,
and all gravel and fill
material will be certified
weed-free to the satisfaction
of the City. During project
construction, vehicles and all
equipment will be washed
(including wheels,
undercarriages, and
bumpers) before and after
entering the proposed
project footprint. Following
construction of project, a
standard erosion control
seed mix from a local source
will be planted within the
temporary impact zones on
any disturbed ground that
will not be under hardscape,
landscaped, or maintained.

Transportation
Department or the
Director’s
designee

Impact BIO-5:
The project would
MM BIO-5.1: Compensatory Mitigation.
