AECOM300 Lakeside Drive, Suite 400 Oakland, CA 94612 www.aecom.com EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF WORK Archaeological Review and Native American Consultation Consultant will assist the City, as-needed, with review of archaeological documents prepared by the developer’s consultant, and provide comments/suggestions for adequate archaeological/historical resources compliance. Consultant will begin by reviewing archaeological background documents prepared for the project thus far, in order to develop a better understanding of existing conditions. This background review will provide the context for informed review of the Archaeological Testing Plan (ATP), prepared by the developer’s archaeological contractor. Consultant will conduct this review with the following limitations: •Given the lack of understanding of the extensiveness of archaeological documentation prepared to-date for the project, for the purposes of this proposal, 30 hours, inclusive of time to complete review of the ATP, is assumed. The City will provide Consultant with all archaeological documentation in their possession and will authorize Consultant to contact the developer’s archaeological contractor directly for additional supporting documentation, as needed. Additional time may be required, depending on the number and complexity of available archaeological documentation. Following completion of review of background documentation and the ATP, Consultant will assist the City in coordination meetings with the developer and/or their archaeological contractor, to facilitate response to comments and finalization of the ATP, and appropriate implementation of the ATP in the field. For the purposes of this proposal, it is assumed that 3 remote/online meetings ( estimated at 6 hours total) and 3 on-site meetings (estimated at 18 hours total) will be needed for the finalization and implementation of the ATP. Consultant anticipates that one requirement of the finalized ATP will be the development of a final Archaeological Resources Report, by the developer’s archaeological contractor. Consultant will assist the City in review and comment on this summary document (assuming a total of 24 hours, inclusive of review, meetings, coordination, etc.). In addition to the archaeological oversight services described above, Consultant will assist the City in communication and coordination with the MLD assigned to the project. For the purposes of this proposal, it is assumed that 3 remote/online meetings (estimated at 6 hours total) and 3 on-site meetings (estimated at 18 hours total) will be required for Native American consultation. Based on these meetings, Consultant will prepare a draft document, to be used by the City to memorialize any agreements with the MLD. A total of 2 rounds of comments from the City and MLD are anticipated for the production of the final document (assume a total of 24 hours for the development of this deliverable). This task also includes general project coordination and administration. Consultant will communicate regularly via email and teleconferences, informing the City on work completed and in progress, as well as any issues potentially affecting the project scope, budget, and/or schedule.
