Further updates in the form of newsletters, annual reports, events, or periodic meetings are also expected throughout the grant period. •The Grantee shall expend grant funds exclusively for the stated purpose described in the grant proposal. •The Grantee has provided the Foundation with verification of the Grantee's status under Section 170 (c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and agrees to notify the Foundation of any change in the Grantee’s status. •The Grantee agrees to repay any part of the grant funds that is not used for the stated purpose of the grant. Any unexpended grant funds remaining at the expiration of the grant period shall be returned to the Foundation, unless express written approval is requested to extend the grant period and this request is granted by the Foundation. •The Grantee confirms that this grant will not fund individuals, organizational deficits or efforts designed to elect public officers. •The Grantee confirms that this grant is not in any way earmarked to support or carry on any lobbying or voter registration drive. The Grantee hereby reaffirms that the project’s current budget accurately reflects Grantee’s intention to expend at least the amount of this grant on project non-lobbying and non-voter registration activities in Grantee’s current fiscal year. •The Grantee shall not, under any circumstance, transfer, assign or encumber any portion of the grant. Furthermore, the Grantee agrees that the grant funds will not be expended, transferred, or used for any purpose or in any fashion that is prohibited by an applicable law of the United States or of any domestic or foreign jurisdiction, including without limitation, applicable laws proscribing the support of terrorism or terrorist organizations. •The Grantee shall maintain accurate accounting records and retain records of receipts and disbursements related to the expenditure of grant funds and will keep such accounting records for at least two years after the end of the grant period. The Foundation may, at its expense and on reasonable notice to the Grantee, inspect, audit, or copy the Grantee’s records pertaining to this grant. •The Grantee may acknowledge the Foundation’s support of this project in any or all announcements and written materials.
