Page 2 <br />end of each grant year, and within 30 days after the end of the grant period upon <br />expending the foundation's grant in total. Reporting guidelines will be posted to the <br />online portal. Further updates in the form of newsletters, annual reports, events, or <br />periodic meetings are also expected throughout the grant period. <br />•The Grantee shall expend grant funds exclusively for the stated purpose described in the <br />grant proposal. <br />•The Grantee has provided the Foundation with verification of the Grantee's status under Section <br />170 (c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and agrees to notify the <br />Foundation of any change in the Grantee’s status. <br />•The Grantee agrees to repay any part of the grant funds that is not used for the stated <br />purpose of the grant. Any unexpended grant funds remaining at the expiration of the <br />grant period shall be returned to the Foundation, unless express written approval is <br />requested to extend the grant period and this request is granted by the Foundation. <br />•The Grantee confirms that this grant will not fund individuals, organizational deficits or <br />efforts designed to elect public officers. <br />•The Grantee confirms that this grant is not in any way earmarked to support or carry on <br />any lobbying or voter registration drive. The Grantee hereby reaffirms that the project’s <br />current budget accurately reflects Grantee’s intention to expend at least the amount of <br />this grant on project non-lobbying and non-voter registration activities in Grantee’s <br />current fiscal year. <br />•The Grantee shall not, under any circumstance, transfer, assign or encumber any portion <br />of the grant. Furthermore, the Grantee agrees that the grant funds will not be expended, <br />transferred, or used for any purpose or in any fashion that is prohibited by an applicable <br />law of the United States or of any domestic or foreign jurisdiction, including without <br />limitation, applicable laws proscribing the support of terrorism or terrorist <br />organizations. <br />•The Grantee shall maintain accurate accounting records and retain records of receipts <br />and disbursements related to the expenditure of grant funds and will keep such <br />accounting records for at least two years after the end of the grant period. The <br />Foundation may, at its expense and on reasonable notice to the Grantee, inspect, audit, or <br />copy the Grantee’s records pertaining to this grant. <br />•The Grantee may acknowledge the Foundation’s support of this project in any or all <br />announcements and written materials.
