REV: 09-08-23 VR <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Overview of Services: <br />Consultant will provide meeting planning and facilitation services to the City up to three <br />community meetings regarding park safety in September and October 2023. One meeting <br />will be conducted in English, one will be in Spanish, and one will be held remotely in <br />English with Spanish interpretation. <br />Services include the following: <br />• Plan and facilitate three community meetings <br />• Train City staff to serve as small group facilitators and notetakers <br />• Prepare public-facing meeting summaries identifying major themes from <br />community input <br />• Translation of meeting documents into Spanish <br />Deliverables for this project include the following: <br />• Detailed community meeting agendas <br />• Facilitation and notetaking training for staff supporting the meetings <br />• Community meeting summaries <br />Fees: <br />Consultant will be compensated on an hourly basis according to the costs and fee <br />schedule below, and in accordance with Section 6, Compensation. Consultant shall <br />submit monthly itemized invoices. <br />The costs and fee schedule represents an “up-to” amount, where the City of Redwood <br />City will only be charged for the actual hours spent on the listed tasks. Any costs <br />associated with interpretation, translation, logistics and food will be covered by the City <br />of Redwood City. <br />The translation of documents may cost up to $1,500. <br />$0.25/word with a 500 word minimum <br />$0.35/word for expedited work <br />$140/hour for short documents <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.226/Schechter Consulting (Park Safety meeting facilitation) (Page 11 of 13)
