REV: 02-27-24 LF <br />WHEREAS, the County has incurred eligible SB 1383 Local Assistance Grant Program <br />expenses during the grant program term under an agreement with Nuestra Casa of East Palo Alto <br />to develop edible food recovery and distribution capacity in the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY THE PARTIES HERETO AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. Services to be Performed by the County <br />A. No later than April 15, 2024, the County shall invoice the City for an amount not to exceed <br />$30,000 (Thirty Thousand Dollars) to reimburse the County for some of the expenses it <br />incurred during the grant term developing and overseeing an edible food recovery program in <br />the City. The County shall provide invoices from the County’s work with Nuestra Casa of East <br />Palo Alto detailing incurred expenses. <br />B. The County shall provide information to the City necessary to complete a SB 1383 Local <br />Assistance Grant budget modification form by April 1, 2024. Submitting this form to <br />CalRecycle will reallocate the City’s up to $30,000 of surplus funding to the appropriate grant <br />funding categories in the CalRecycle Grant Management System to allow for funds to be spent <br />on edible food recovery program expenses. The budget modification request must be submitted <br />to CalRecycle by April 15, 2024 in order for the modification to be processed before the end <br />of the grant term. <br />C. The County shall provide the City with guidance for including the County’s edible food <br />recovery program expenses in the City for the following SB 1383 Local Assistance Grant <br />reports to CalRecycle required of all SB 1383 Local Assistance Grant grantees: <br />a. Expenditure Itemized Summary #4 due May 2, 2024 <br />b. Final Report due May 2, 2024 <br />2. Tasks to be Completed by the City <br />A. The City shall submit an SB 1383 Local Assistance Grant budget modification form to <br />CalRecycle with information provided by the County by April 15, 2024. <br />B. The City shall, by May 2, 2024, process and pay in full the invoice valued at an amount not to <br />exceed $30,000 (Thirty Thousand Dollars), submitted to the City by the County for expenses <br />the County incurred during the grant term developing an edible food recovery program in the <br />City. <br />C. The City shall be responsible for completing and submitting its own SB 1383 Local Assistance <br />Grant reports to CalRecycle with information about the County’s edible food recovery program <br />expenses in it with the guidance provided by the County. <br />ATTY/AGR.2024.021/San Mateo County (Edible Food Recovery MOU) (Page 2 of 32)
