City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
Figure 3 – Surrounding Zoning Districts
The proposed project would include a new development of 178 multifamily housing units. The 100%
affordable housing development would provide 70 low-income units, 75 very low-income units, 31
extremely low-income units and two unrestricted income manager units. The housing would use modular
construction and include 25 studios and 153 bedrooms averaging from 411 to 450 square feet,
respectively. The proposed multifamily building would be 7 stories and 78 feet tall measured to the
parapet. The project would require a Downtown Planned Community Permit for development in the DTPP
area.
Figure 4 – Building Front Elevation on Vera Avenue
The site would provide six off-street parking spaces accessible from the rear alley that are proposed to be
reserved for management, staff, and ride share. The site would also include 115 bicycle parking spaces on
the ground floor. Frontage improvements would include a new sidewalk, a new street tree, and re-
pavement of the project’s portion of Vera Avenue and the alley. The project would be required to update
utilities, as needed, to accommodate the increased development at the site.
7.A. - Page 4 of 10
100
