Text:
State law does not require parking within a half mile of a major transit stop when a project dedicates a minimum of 20 percent of the total number of housing units to very low-, low-, or moderate-income households, students, the elderly, or persons with disabilities (AB 2097 [Government Code Section 65863.2]. This project is proposing 100% affordable housing offered at low, very low and extremely low levels and is exempt from local parking requirements.
The site is voluntarily proposing 6 surface parking spaces accessible from the rear alley. These spaces are listed in the application as being reserved for property management, deliveries, and drop-off, but the applicant can go into more detail on the use of the parking spaces.
The parking spaces will provide electric vehicle charging and one ADA van accessible parking space will be provided.
