People with disabilities deserve to live full, self-determined lives, yet discrimination <br />persists for the 1 in 4 U.S. adults living with a disability. The Disability Pride flag is designed to represent <br />the cross-disability community and underscore solidarity within the disability community, despite <br />differences. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The City of Redwood City has an Administrative Policy that authorizes the display of flags upon approval <br />of the City Council by resolution. Such authorization can be made in conjunction with official actions, <br />ceremonial items, or proclamations of the City Council. The display of the Disability Pride flag in <br />recognition of the disability community and the anniversary of the passage of the Americans with <br />6.E. - Page 1 of 6 <br />39
