Learn why this is important <br />Esteemed Honorable Council Members, <br />I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for you vote in passing the proposed update to <br />the Business License Tax, exempting, non-profits, for-profits ( not always profitable ) and <br />possibly family da care. <br />Your forward vision, and the understanding of the constant financial struggles of our industry, <br />are courageous, timely and commendable. <br />We carry on our shoulders the general wellbeing of all families and workers in the cIty of <br />Redwood City. <br />We face many challenges, such as facilities tat we can actually own for the long term presence <br />and investment in outstanding Early Childhood Education, as well as Infant Care, and After- <br />School programs. <br />Many of us have been stalwarts in other neighboring communities, giving families the peace <br />of mind they need to go to work each day to help position Silicon Valley at the forefront of <br />economic growth, a leg-up-in-life for the children that receive exceptional preschool <br />education/experiences, jobs to countless community members, contributing to growth through <br />the purchases we must make locally to the services we use. <br />This small yet significant step in Redwood City through this VOTE is very important. <br />Regards, <br />Sandra de Balzaretti M.
