16

the City’s communicaon staff maintain through Constant Contact. As of today, there are 929
registered email addresses.
5.2. Logo and Style Guide
• The 84/101 Reimagined Logo was developed using the City of Redwood City’s logo as a
base, (shape, color, water, hills, etc.) as it is an RWC-led project.
• The logo priorizes SR 84 (formerly referred to as Woodside Road) before 101 to place
the emphasis on the focused set of improvements that will occur on SR 84. Although
locally referred to as Woodside Road, SR 84 highlights the regional significance of the
project.
• The word “reimagined” calls atenon to the fact that this is not the tradional
interchange project. It is that and much more. The Project has been reimagined to
include mul-modal elements that serve the region—from freight movement to access
for Equity Priority Communies, connecvity to transit, future ferry, and
bicycle/pedestrian access to the Bay Trail.
• The logo was envisioned to emphasize the mul-modal nature of the project. The
interchange is visually represented by the crossing of single road over a striped road to
visually signal its significance in connecvity with different modes.
• Addional assets with taglines can be used for specific grant applicaons to highlight
different aspects and benefits of the project. For example, bike/ped elements may be
emphasized for ATP-type grants, and port access or shipping/freight elements may be
emphasized for TCEP or other highway grants.
• Themes to highlight include regional significance, Equity Priority Community impacts,
transit connecvity, bike/ped elements, and safety.
While this logo will be the public-facing name, the official project name as recorded in the
STIP/TIP will remain unchanged as follows:
o US 101 / Woodside Interchange Improvement
o TIP ID: SM-050027 FMS ID 2534
Style Guidelines
The approved 84/101 Reimagined brand assets included the following:
• Logo and alternates
• Typeface
• Icons
• Oponal Logo footer for presentaons
• Oponal secon headers for presentaons
All graphics files are included in the SharePoint folder under 2.10 Communicaons Plan.
