<br />23 <br /> <br />Appendix A: History of Project Outreach <br /> <br />Environmental Phase Outreach <br />The first outreach work for the project focused on educa�ng the community about ways to <br />increase person throughput in the corridor under various scenarios and to receive feedback <br />about key issues or concerns from the local community and businesses regarding the project <br />alterna�ves. There was an outreach plan developed and implemented for this phase. This <br />project dialogue was accomplished through stakeholder mee�ngs with property owners, as <br />well as with the environmental, school, transit, bicycle, and business communi�es. During <br />2014, two community mee�ngs were held for the public to view a project presenta�on, ask <br />ques�ons of project staff, and/or comment on the project alterna�ves. A scoping mee�ng was <br />held in November 2014, where the public was asked to provide input related to the document <br />or environmental studies. Three City Council Study Sessions and three mee�ngs of the City's <br />project Ad Hoc City Council Subcommitee were held during this period. There was a <br />community mee�ng held during the circula�on of the Dra� Environmental Document (DED) in <br />2016. In addi�on, a Project website (with comment capabili�es) containing presenta�ons from <br />these community mee�ngs, a speakers’ bureau, alterna�ve’s videos, and project factsheets in <br />Spanish and English were also made available to the public during this phase. <br />Design Phase and Funding Plan Outreach <br />The second phase of outreach included the development of and Council adop�on of a funding <br />strategy plan and government agency workshops to clarify aspects of the project such <br />coordina�on with Caltrans, the Port of Redwood City, PG&E, Union Pacific Railroad, and others.
