REV: 05-08-24 LF <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES <br />Consultant will provide a Construction Inspector to work with the City Engineer or <br />designee, to perform construction inspection services for capital improvement projects <br />and encroachment permits. Construction Inspector, working with and at the direction of <br />City Engineer or designee shall: work with multiple capital improvement project <br />construction management teams, and receive direction and daily oversight from a <br />project’s project engineer and/or project manager based on individual project needs; <br />manage time effectively across multiple capital improvement projects as directed; <br />correspond with capital improvement project contractors; work with encroachment permit <br />engineers for a variety of utility and other encroachment permits within the public right of <br />way; correspond with encroachment permittees and contractors; perform construction <br />inspection duties for compliance with capital improvement project and permit plans, <br />specifications, and City’s Engineering Standards; write daily reports for capital <br />improvement project and encroachment permit inspections; and travel between various <br />capital improvement project and encroachment permit sites to conduct inspections. <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION (TASK 1) <br />1.1 The performance of all services by Construction Inspector shall be to the satisfaction <br />of the City. <br />1.2 Construction Inspector shall coordinate inspection services with the assigned project <br />engineer and/or project manager for capital improvement projects, or the permit engineer <br />for encroachment permits, as necessary. <br /> <br />1.3 Construction Inspector shall schedule daily inspections and visit capital improvement <br />project or encroachment permit sites as necessary to complete all services to the <br />satisfaction of the City. <br />1.4 Construction Inspector shall communicate frequently with the City personnel <br />regarding needs to inspection services and capital improvement project or encroachment <br />permit activities. <br />1.5 Construction Inspector shall, daily, write construction inspection reports describing <br />the type of work performed, locations of work, inspection results, number of employees <br />and types of equipment present, and other information as directed by the City, such <br />reports being either in software (ComDev or other) or on paper as needed. <br />ATTY/AGR.2024.065/Zoon Engineering (On-Call Construction Inspection Services) (Page 12 of 14)
