ATTY/RESO.0043/HRAC RESO 1-330 GRAND <br />REV: 06-07-18 JS <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />WHEREAS, on May 24, 2018, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee of <br />the City of Redwood City held a duly noticed meeting in accordance with all applicable <br />requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Municipal <br />Code, to conduct a site visit to view existing conditions of the subject property; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 24, 2018, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee of the <br />City of Redwood City held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all <br />applicable requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City <br />Municipal Code, to consider the application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 24, 2018, the HRAC fully reviewed, considered, and <br />evaluated the staff reports prepared including the attachments to the staff reports, oral <br />and written public testimony, and all other documents and evidence in the public record <br />on the historic nature of the property. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HRAC OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The HRAC, having independently heard, considered, and weighed all the <br />evidence in the record presented on behalf of all parties and being fully informed of the <br />available details regarding the property, finds that the home is not eligible for listing in <br />the California Register of Historical Resources (CRHC) or as a Redwood City historic <br />landmark, based upon the following findings. <br />2. The HRAC adopts the supporting information from the historian’s report by <br />Richard Brandi and the following findings pursuant to CRHC criterion 1-4: <br />1) Associated with events that have made a significant contribution to <br />the broad patterns of local or regional history, or cultural heritage of <br />California or the United States; <br />Archival research has not revealed that the house has any <br />association with a historically significant event. Therefore, the house <br />is not eligible for listing on the CRHR under Criterion 1. <br /> <br />2) Associated with the lives of persons important to the local, California, <br />or national history; <br />The house does not appear to be associated with the lives of persons <br />important to local, California, or national history. Therefore, the house <br />is not eligible for listing on the CRHR under Criterion 2. <br /> <br />3) Embodies the distinctive characteristics of a design-type, period, <br />region, or method of construction, or represents the work of a master, <br />or possesses high artistic values;
