During the comment period, the interested <br />public and responsible and trustee agencies were invited to submit comments on the DEIR <br />to the City’s Community Development Department. Written and verbal comments on the <br />DEIR were also accepted at a Planning Commission hearing held on July 7, 2020. The <br />DEIR is available on the City’s website (https://www.redwoodcity.org/southmain). <br /> <br />Following the completion of the public review period, the City reviewed all comments <br />received on the DEIR and prepared a Final Environmental Impact Report (the “FEIR”). The <br />FEIR, which incorporates by reference the DEIR, includes all comments received during <br />the public review period, responses to those comments, and also describes any changes <br />to the DEIR that resulted from the comments received. All persons who commented on the <br />DEIR have been notified of the availability of the FEIR and the date of the public hearing <br />on the Project before the City Council, and all responses to comments submitted on the <br />DEIR by public agencies have been provided to those agencies at least 10 days prior to the <br />City Council hearing. <br /> <br />Section 21081.6 of CEQA requires lead agencies to adopt a mitigation monitoring <br />or reporting program (“MMRP”) for any project for which it has made mitigation findings <br />pursuant to Section 21081. The City has prepared an MMRP for the Project, which MMRP <br />has been made available to the public with the DEIR and the FEIR. <br /> <br />The EIR that is the subject of these Findings and presented for City Council <br />certification consists of the DEIR, the FEIR, and the MMRP. <br /> <br />The City and responsible agency approvals necessary for implementation of the <br />Project are: <br /> <br /> Jurisdiction Permits/Approval <br />City of Redwood City <br />Use Permits <br />Downtown Planned Community Permit <br />Vesting Tentative Tract Map <br />Abandonment of a segment of a public street (Shasta) <br />Abandonment of a segment of a public street and conversion to a private <br />street (Cedar) <br />Acquisition of a City-owned parcel (1306 Main Street) <br />Architectural Permit <br />Tree Removal Permit <br />Grading Permit <br />State Density Bonus concessions and waivers <br />Planned Development Permit <br />Affordable Housing Plan
