Provision of affordable housing. The Transit District DTPP Amendments will increase <br />the residential development capacity of the Transit District area, allowing for the <br />development of approximately 1,100 new housing units. This would include a component <br />of affordable housing that will help the City to meet its Regional Housing Needs Allocation <br />(RHNA) requirement as determined by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) <br />and address critical shortage of affordable housing in San Mateo County and the Bay Area.
