Findings and Statements Required by the California Environmental Quality Act <br />Redwood City Transit District DTPP Amendments 54 ESA / 202100421.00 <br />Subsequent Environmental Impact Report October 2022 <br />also increase revenue for the City of Redwood City, improving its ability to provide public <br />safety and services. <br />6. Provision of affordable housing. The Transit District DTPP Amendments will increase <br />the residential development capacity of the Transit District area, allowing for the <br />development of approximately 1,100 new housing units. This would include a component <br />of affordable housing that will help the City to meet its Regional Housing Needs Allocation <br />(RHNA) requirement as determined by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) <br />and address critical shortage of affordable housing in San Mateo County and the Bay Area.
