Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program <br /> <br />TABLE 4-1 (CONTINUED) <br />TRANSIT DISTRICT DTPP AMENDMENTS MITIGATION MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM <br />Redwood City Transit District DTPP Amendments 4-8 ESA / 202100421.00 <br />Final EIR October 2022 <br />MITIGATION MEASURES <br />Monitoring Program <br />Implementation <br />Responsibility <br />Monitoring and <br />Reporting Action <br />Monitoring <br />Responsibility <br />Monitoring <br />Schedule <br />Noise (cont’d.) <br />Mitigation Measure NO-3: Vibration Reduction (formerly Mitigation Measure <br />11-3 from the DTPP Final EIR with clarifying edits): The City shall reduce <br />ground-borne vibration levels that may be generated by future site-specific <br />demolition and construction activities by imposing conditions of approval on all <br />future projects involving demolition and construction activities, which conditions shall <br />require the Project Applicant to ensure the following ground-borne vibration <br />abatement measures are implemented by the construction contractor: <br /> Restrict vibration-generating activity to between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 <br />PM, Monday through Friday except when authorized by the Building Official <br />(Redwood City Municipal Code Section 24.32). <br /> Notify occupants of land uses located within 200 feet of pile-driving activities of <br />the project construction schedule in writing. <br /> Investigate in consultation with City staff possible pre-drilling of pile holes as a <br />means of minimizing the number of percussions required to seat the pile. <br /> Conduct a pre-construction site survey documenting the condition of any historic <br />structure located within 200 feet of pile driving activities. <br /> Monitor pile driving vibration levels to ensure vibration does not exceed <br />appropriate thresholds for the building (5 mm/sec (0.20 inches/sec) ppv for <br />structurally sound buildings and 2 mm/sec (0.08 inches/sec) ppv for historic <br />buildings. <br />Project Applicant, <br />construction <br />contractor(s), City <br />1.
