Sheltered bike parking should be located on the ground floor to provide <br />convenient access for users. <br />b. For all other use groups, the following guidelines will apply: <br />a. Bicycle parking may be provided in sheltered, secured facilities located on the <br />project site, or in bike racks on the public sidewalk. <br />b. Long-term bicycle parking within nonresidential development should have direct <br />access to the public right-of-way or sidewalk/walkway. <br />c. Long-term bicycle parking within nonresidential development should be located on <br />the ground floor to provide convenient access for users. <br />d. Bike racks on the public sidewalk should be an inverted ā€œUā€ type, powder-coated <br />black, and should be located within 100 feet of the project site in the public sidewalk <br />furniture zone. HEIGHT ZONES <br /> <br />2.7.2 MAXIMUM HEIGHT REGULATIONS <br /> <br />A) Maximum Permitted Height <br /> Standards <br />a. Maximum permitted heights are as indicated in the Height Regulation <br />Chart. Height for inhabited and uninhabited structures is regulated by both <br />the number of floors permitted, and by total height in feet permitted The <br />maximum height for uninhabited structures (e.g. parking garages) is <br />regulated exclusively by maximum height in feet permitted. <br />2.7.3 MINIMUM HEIGHT REGULATIONS <br /> <br />A) Required Minimum Height <br />1. Standards <br />a. Required minimum heights are indicated in the Height Regulation Chart. <br />b. New structures shall meet the both the minimum number of floors and the minimum <br />height in feet. No more than the front 50’ of lot depth, measured from all streets on <br />which the project has frontage, shall be subject to Required Minimum Height <br />regulations. <br /> <br />2. Guidelines <br />There are no Minimum Height guidelines. <br />a. Upper-story setbacks should be provided for nonresidential development <br />to further define the retail base, allow light to the streetscape, promote <br />active usage of the stepbacks, and break-up the building massing. <br />Page 13 of 45
