Grading – Grading shall be performed in accordance with the City’s Engineering Standards. <br />Soil or other construction materials shall not be stockpiled in the public right-of-way. <br />Applicant shall submit cut/fill volumes (CY) for all soils to be imported to or exported from <br />the site. [SDR][ENGINEERING] 75. Monitoring - The Soils Engineer shall conduct continuous site inspections during trenching <br />and backfill operations at the applicant’s expense. The Soils Engineer shall take compaction <br />tests and submit the results to Engineering & Construction. [SDR][ENGINEERING] 76. Materials Mock-Up – Prior to final foundation inspection, applicant shall prepare a mock- <br />up that is outdoors, readily accessible, and will remain intact until the project has reached <br />substantial completion. The mock-up should include all project colors and materials, <br />windows for the base and top, balconies, lighting, and architectural details, as well as <br />construction details, such as the weep screed, to understand how the design addresses <br />them. Applicant shall schedule a mock-up meeting with the Planning and Building <br />Departments for final review and approval of the project details. Applicant shall submit an <br />updated colors and materials board or details if any changes are made as a result of the <br />mock-up meeting. [COA][PLANNING] 77. Certification Letters - Prior to final inspection, applicant shall submit certification letters <br />from the following architects verifying that the project, as constructed, complies with <br />approved plans. After the certification letter has been submitted, the project planner will <br />also confirm substantial compliance with the approved plans during the scheduled final <br />inspection. [COA][PLANNING]: a. Project Landscape Architect verifying substantial conformance with the approved <br />landscape plan, including species, size, quantity, and location of the approved trees, <br />shrubs, and groundcover. It shall also verify landscape lighting, fencing, irrigation, and <br />other details as applicable. b. Project Architect verifying substantial conformance with the approved elevations, <br />colors, materials, exterior light fixtures, and architectural details. <br />Other Agency Permits 78. Caltrans - If a portion of the proposed work is within the State of California right-of-way <br />(Woodside Road, El Camino Real, U.S. 101), the applicant shall contact the California <br />Department of Transportation (Caltrans) at (510) 286-4417 to obtain all necessary <br />Encroachment Permits prior to any work in the Caltrans right-of-way. RWQCB, Army Corps, CAFW - Prior to the issuance of any building or engineering permits, <br />applicant shall provide proof of RWQCB, Army Corps, and CAFW approval for the project, <br />to the extent applicable.
