Adopt a resolution supporting the Vera Avenue Permanent Bicycle Boulevard Project and James <br />Avenue/El Camino Real Intersection Improvement Project and Authorizing the Submittal of Two <br />Applications to the San Mateo County Transportation Authority for Measure A/W Pedestrian and Bicycle <br />Program Funding; and <br />2. By motion, authorize the City Manager to execute related grant documents. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Transportation <br />BACKGROUND <br />On June 10, 2024, the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) issued a call for projects for the <br />combined Measure A and Measure W Cycle 7 Pedestrian and Bicycle Program. Approximately $19 million <br />is available for the two-year funding cycle for Fiscal Years 2025 and 2026. This program provides funding <br />for: <br />Small and large capital projects: environmental, design, and construction phases of capital <br />projects. <br />Planning and promotions of projects: outreach and planning of capital projects and non- <br />infrastructure education and encouragement programs to increase walking and biking. <br />6.H. - Page 1 of 6 <br />201
