In additfon, some board or commission positfons <br />have professional and experimental requirements or preferred and experientfal requirements or <br />preferred areas of expertfse. A physical address must be included on the applicatfon and proof of <br />the address provided must be issued if requested. Once applicatfons are received, each eligible <br />applicant will be notffied of an interview session with members of the City Council. The City <br />Council will appoint members to serve on a BCC during a public City Council meetfng. <br /> <br />RESIGNATIONS <br /> <br />If you need to leave your seat on a BCC before your term is expired, submit your resignatfon in <br />writfng to your Staff Liaison, with a copy to the City Clerk. Each letter of resignatfon must be <br />addressed to the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />Please note that the City Council adopted Ordinance 542 regarding membership of BCCs: <br /> <br />Sec. 2.13. – VOTING POWERS OF CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES: <br /> <br />Neither the City Manager, City Attorney, City Engineer nor any other City officer or employee, <br />except members of the City Council as an ex officio member and technical advisory of any <br />commission or committee, unless otherwise provided by the Charter, shall have the right to vote <br />in the deliberatfons of any such commission or committee.
