11 <br /> <br />Boards, Commissions, and Committees Handbook| SeptemberMay 2024 2021 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />LOCAL APPOINTMENT LIST (MADDY ACT) <br /> <br />The City Clerk’s Office prepares a local appointment list, also known as the Maddy Act, which lists <br />the members and terms for each BCC seat. This list is posted online and is regularly updated when <br />there are changes or recruitments. It is important to keep the City Clerk’s Office apprised of any <br />changes in tfme of day of meetfngs as well as any resignatfons or changes to the membership of <br />BCCs. <br /> <br />IV. APPOINTED BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES (BCCS) <br /> <br />ARCHITECTURUAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CONSISTS OF SIX FIVE MEMBERS – FIVE VOTING <br />MEMBERS AND ONE YOUTH MEMBER APPOINTED TO A NON-VOTING SEAT, APPOINTED BY <br />PLANNING COMMISSION, FOUR-YEAR TERMS) <br /> <br />The Architectural Advisory Committee was established by Resolutfon No. 11497 to provide for <br />the enhancement of the natural beauty of the environment, and to provide for the orderly and <br />harmonious appearance of structures and grounds in furtherance of the purpose of Artfcle 45 of <br />the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance No. 1130. More informatfon about the Committee can be <br />found in Sectfon 2.110 of the City Code. Members of the Committee are appointed for terms of <br />four years. Resolutfon No. 15143 requires that all five members be licensed architects or <br />landscape architects residing or working in the City of Redwood City or its sphere of influence (as <br />described by and in the General Plan).
