Page 1 of 3 <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: September 9, 2024 <br />SUBJECT <br />Agreement for Services with NAZ & CO. dba True Blue Automation Services for electrical control system <br />inspection, testing, and repair services to keep, operate, and maintain City-owned waste disposal and <br />water pump systems <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a one-year Agreement for Services with <br />NAZ & CO. dba True Blue Automation Services for pump control system inspection, testing, and repair <br />services in an amount not to exceed $400,000 through 2025, including City Manager authority to extend <br />the agreement for two additional two-year terms, in an amount not to exceed $836,360 for the first <br />extension and $887,295 for the second extension, for a total contract amount not to exceed $2,123,655 <br />through 2029. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Redwood City’s (City) Public Works Services Department (PWS) ensures the continuous <br />operation of the City’s water and wastewater pump control systems. Preventative maintenance (PM) is <br />required annually to verify that the existing components of 13 water storage facilities, 11 water pump <br />stations, 31 sewer lift stations, and 18 stormwater pump stations can perform their intended functions. <br />Staff utilizes the services of licensed contractors to assist the City with identifying and performing minor <br />maintenance repairs to minimize the potential of equipment failures and service disruptions. <br />6.G. - Page 1 of 17 <br />77
