By motion, award a contract, and approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the standard <br />form construction contract documents, for the Jardin De Ninos Park Expansion Project to McNabb <br />Construction, Inc. of Lafayette, CA in the amount of $491,491; and authorize the City Manager to <br />increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10 percent of the original contract amount, for a <br />total amount not to exceed $540,640; and <br />2. By motion, award a contract, and approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the standard <br />form construction contract documents, for the supply of metal frame structure to Park Associates Dba <br />Park Planet of Red Bluff, CA in the amount of $159,856; and authorize the City Manager to increase <br />the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10 percent of the original contract amount, for a total amount <br />not to exceed $175,842. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Children and Youth <br />BACKGROUND <br />In 2016, the City purchased a 3,800 square foot lot adjacent to Jardin de Ninos Park shortly after the park <br />renovation in 2015. The existing park primarily serves children aged 2-12, and features post and platform <br />play components.
