Page 1 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: September 23, 2024 <br />SUBJECT <br />Master Purchase Agreement with Statewide Traffic Safety and Signs, Inc. dba AWP Safety to supply <br />traffic signs, safety products, and related services <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Master Purchase Agreement for as- <br />needed traffic supplies and services with Statewide Traffic Safety and Signs, Inc. dba AWP Safety for a one- <br />year term through 2025 in an amount not to exceed $130,000, including City Manager authority to extend <br />the agreement for two additional two-year periods through 2029, for an aggregate not-to-exceed amount <br />of $690,187. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />Throughout the year, several divisions within the Public Works Services Department (“PWS”), such as <br />Water, Wastewater (Storm and Sewer), and Right-of-Way, regularly require a range of traffic supplies and <br />services to support their functions. These needs include obtaining the traffic signs, safety products, and <br />related services essential for maintaining and enhancing traffic flow and safety. Examples of required <br />items and services include road signs, traffic cones, temporary barricades, and road marking paints. These <br />materials are crucial for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and for responding promptly to <br />traffic management needs. Given the critical nature of these services and the need for timely responses, <br />PWS must be able to quickly secure supplies and services from a reliable vendor. <br />6.L. - Page 1 of 22 <br />216
