<br />9 <br /> <br /> <br /> The survey conducted by the Human Resources Department, shall be updated <br />and completed by November 1 of each year during the term of the MOU. <br /> <br />The survey for Fire Fighters/Engineers shall compare the total compensation <br />rates of Fire Fighter/Engineers in Redwood City to the median of total <br />compensation rates of Fire Engineers, or in the absence thereof, to the median <br />of total compensation rates of Fire Fighters, in the cities specified above. The <br />survey for Deputy Fire Marshal shall compare the total compensation rates of <br />Deputy Fire Marshals in Redwood City to the median of total compensation rates <br />of Deputy Fire Marshals, or in the absence thereof, to the median of total <br />compensation rates of Fire Inspectors II or III, or classifications performing <br />substantially the same duties. The comparative calculation shall include top step <br />base salary, employer paid member PERS contribution, maximum city paid <br />medical contribution, longevity pay, holiday pay, uniform allowance, paramedic <br />assistance pay, EMT pay (including combination EMT pay/paramedic assistance <br />pay), and educational incentive. <br /> <br />In the event one or more of the above listed comparative cities is in labor <br />negotiations due to the expiration of their labor MOU and does not have salary <br />data available as of November 1 of each year, the total compensation factor for <br />those cities shall be increased by three percent (3%). equal to the Consumer <br />Price Index for all Urban Consumers for the San Francisco/San Jose area for the <br />preceding fiscal year. This factor shall be no less than three percent (3%) nor <br />greater than six percent (6%) should the C.P.I. fall below or exceed these <br />percentages. <br /> <br />Effective the first full pay period in July 2024, there will be a three percent (3%) <br />salary increase for all classifications represented by the bargaining unit. <br /> <br />Effective the first full pay period in July 2025, there will be a three percent (3%) <br />salary increase for all classifications represented by the bargaining unit. <br />Effective the first full pay period in July 2023, contingent upon Association <br />ratification and City Council approval of the successor MOU by June 26, 2023, <br />the following equity increases will be applied: <br /> <br /> Fire Fighter/Engineer: two and eighty-seven one-hundredths percent <br />(2.87%) <br /> Fire Captain: two and eighty-seven one-hundredths percent (2.87%) <br /> Deputy Fire Marshal: six-tenths of a percent (0.6%) <br /> <br />Effective the first full pay period in January 2024, there will be a three percent <br />(3%) cost of living adjustment for all classifications represented by the <br />bargaining unit. <br />6.A. - Page 20 of 99 <br />27
