A Fire Captain assigned as a Fire Boat Pilot for a shift will receive five <br />percent (5%) base pay for hours worked during the shift. <br /> <br />Staffing shall be at the Fire Chief’s discretion, with no fewer than nine (9) Fire <br />Boat Pilots representing the Department at one time. <br /> <br />7.19 Training Captain (Training Premium) Pay <br /> <br /> Effective the first full pay period in July 2023, contingent upon Association <br />ratification and City Council approval of the successor MOU by June 26, 2023, <br />oOne (1) Fire Captain assigned to be a Training Captain shall receive premium <br />pay in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Fire Captain’s base pay. The <br />Training Captain will be routinely and consistently assigned to train employees. <br /> <br />7.20 Paramedic Field Training Officer Pay <br /> <br />Effective the first full pay period following City Council approval of a successor <br />MOU in 2024, Firefighter/Engineer Paramedics who are assigned to perform and <br />do perform field training duties on behalf of RCFD shall receive an incentive of <br />five percent (5%) of base pay, paid only during time spent training Paramedics <br />and/or Paramedic Trainees. <br /> <br />SECTION 8 - HOLIDAYS <br /> <br />8.1 Paid Holidays <br /> <br />Except as provided in section 8.6, the following shall be paid holidays for all <br />employees who are covered by this MOU: <br />1. New Year’s Day <br />2. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (observed on the third Monday in January) <br />3. President’s Day (Observed on the third Monday in February) <br />4. Memorial Day (Observed on the last Monday in May) <br />5. Juneteenth (Observed June 19th) <br />6. Independence Day <br />7. Labor Day (Observed on the first Monday in September) <br />8. Veterans Day (Observed November 11) <br />9. Thanksgiving Day <br />10. The Day after Thanksgiving <br />11. Christmas Eve <br />12. Christmas Day <br />13.
