<br />26 <br /> <br />to such revocation, in order to allow the opportunity for the parties <br />to meet and confer. <br /> <br />7.17 Retiree Health Savings (RHS) Plan <br /> <br />The City shall continue to provide a retirement Health Savings (RHS) plan under <br />IRS Code 213 for members to set aside pre-tax money for payment of post- <br />employment qualified medical expenses that will be incurred after separation of <br />service. The plan will cover retiree, spouse or dependent reimbursements for <br />eligible medical and dental out-of-pocket expenses such as premiums, <br />prescription drugs, doctor co-pays and eyeglasses. The plan may be funded by <br />accrued vacation leave, compensatory time, sick leave payout (or a portion of it) <br />and/or payroll deductions. Contributions to the plan must be uniform across <br />bargaining unit members and may be changed only as mandated by the City. <br />Effective as soon as administratively feasible, the City will set up RHS accounts <br />with an initial, uniform employee contribution. <br /> <br />7.18 Special Equipment Operator Pay <br /> <br />Fire Boat Pilots must be certified in the areas designated by the Fire Chief and <br />referenced by the Fire Boat Pilot Endorsement Checklist in the Lexipol Manual <br />to be eligible to receive Special Equipment Operator premium pay. <br /> <br />Qualified Fire Boat Trainees designated by the Fire Chief shall receive Special <br />Equipment Operator Trainee premium pay of two and one-half percent (2.5%) <br />base pay. <br /> <br />Qualified Fire Boat Pilots designated by the Fire Chief shall be eligible to receive <br />an additional two and one half (2.5%) Special Equipment Operator premium , for <br />a total of five percent (5%) base pay, on a full-time basis. <br /> <br />One (1) qualified Marine Unit Lead Fire Captain designated by the Fire Chief shall <br />be eligible to receive a total of five percent (5%) base pay, on a full-time basis. <br />This assignment shall not exceed three years in length. However, it may be <br />extended on a year-to-year basis, on approval of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />Fire Boat Pilots must commit to boat program participation for a minimum of <br />four (4) years. <br /> <br />With the exception of the Marine Unit Lead, Fire Captains shall not be eligible <br />for Special Equipment Operator premium pay. If the Fire Chief determines that <br />a Fire Captain who is a qualified Fire Boat Pilot is required to staff the Fire Boat <br />during a shift, the Fire Captain may be assigned as Fire Boat Pilot on a shift-by- <br />6.A. - Page 37 of 99 <br />44
