<br />62 <br /> <br />19.1.8 For part-time employees working twenty (20) or more hours per <br />week covered by this MOU, the City’s contribution to the Cafeteria <br />plan for the employee shall be prorated based on the percentage of <br />full time equivalent status. <br /> <br />19.1.9 Retiree Health Coverage for Employees who Receive an Industrial <br />Disability Retirement from CalPERS: <br /> <br /> Effective May 9, 2022, all employees, regardless of date of hire, will <br />contribute a cost share of one and seven one hundredths percent <br />(1.07%) of base salary to the City via payroll withholding toward the <br />cost of the IDR retiree health benefit described herein. <br /> <br />A. IDR Retiree Health Tier One: For employees hired before May 9, <br />2022, an employee who is granted an industrial disability retirement <br />due to a work related illness or injury, shall receive paid medical <br />benefits provided that the employee is not eligible for similar <br />benefits through a spouse’s health plan. <br /> <br /> Whenever the above eligibility criteria is met, the City will provide <br />medical benefits at the same benefit tier (single, two-party, family) <br />which the employee would have been receiving if they had continued <br />as an active employee. This includes adding and/or deleting eligible <br />dependents. <br /> <br />B. IDR Retiree Health Tier Two: For employees hired on or after May 9, <br />2022, an employee who is granted an industrial disability retirement <br />due to a work related illness or injury, shall receive paid medical <br />benefits as described below, provided that the employee is not <br />eligible for similar benefits through a spouse’s health plan. <br /> <br />1. Whenever the above eligibility criteria is met, the City will provide <br />medical benefits at the same benefit tier (single, two-party, <br />family) which the employee would have been receiving if the <br />employee had continued as an active employee for a period of <br />four (4) years following the effective date of the industrial <br />disability retirement (IDR). This includes adding and/or deleting <br />eligible dependents. The City will pay the PEMHCA minimum <br />employer contribution to CalPERS and deposit the remaining <br />difference in premium amount in a Retiree Health Savings (RHS) <br />Account in the retiree’s name. City payment of retiree health <br />insurance coverage shall be contingent on the retiree’s continued <br />status as an annuitant receiving an industrial disability retirement <br />6.A. - Page 73 of 99 <br />80
