<br />71 <br /> <br />A regular employee who is discharged shall have the right to appeal such action <br />pursuant to the grievance procedure provided in Section 22. <br /> <br />22.8 Time <br /> <br />Failure of the grievant to adhere to time deadlines without reasonable cause <br />shall constitute a waiver of the right to further appeal. Failure of the City to <br />adhere to time deadlines shall mean that the grievant or the Association may <br />proceed to the next grievance level. <br /> <br />The grievant and the City may extend any time deadline by mutual agreement. <br /> <br />SECTION 23 – OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT <br /> <br />No full-time employee shall engage in employment that may constitute a conflict of <br />interest for the employee of the City. No employee shall apply themselves to any outside <br />employment during their regular working hours. The Employee shall submit a form <br />agreeable to the City and to the Union indicating the nature of the outside employment. <br /> <br />No emblem, badge or other employee identification shall be worn by any person while in <br />the employment of someone other than the City. <br /> <br />SECTION 24 – RESIDENCE REQUIREMENT <br /> <br />There shall be no residence requirement. <br /> <br />SECTION 25 – GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />25.1 Damaged or Lost Property <br /> <br />Damage and loss of any Fire Department property or employee's personal <br />property shall be reviewed by an investigating committee, composed of a <br />representative designated by the Fire Chief and a member of the Redwood City <br />Fire Department designated by the Association, in order to determine the <br />responsibility for the damage or loss and method and amount of compensation. <br /> <br />25.2 Release of Information <br /> <br />The City shall release information to creditors only upon proper identification of <br />the creditor and an acceptable reason for the inquiry. Information released shall <br />be limited to verification of employment, length of employment and verification <br />of salary information if the creditor inquiring first states the correct salary to the <br />City. <br /> <br />6.A. - Page 82 of 99 <br />89
