<br />72 <br /> <br />25.3 Grooming <br /> <br />Employees shall present a neat appearance at all times. Facial hair shall not <br />interfere with the seal of a face mask. Personal appearance standards shall be <br />consistent with the Lexipol Policy Manual. <br /> <br />25.4 Employee Personal Locker <br /> <br />An employee's personal locker may be opened in the employee's presence, with <br />the employee's consent, with a valid search warrant or where the employee has <br />been notified that a search will be conducted. <br /> <br />25.5 Smoking or Chewing of Tobacco Products <br /> <br />Employees shall be prohibited from using tobacco products i ncluding, but not <br />limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and chewing tobacco within twenty (20) feet <br />of any City of Redwood City facility or vehicle. <br /> <br />25.6 Garnishments <br /> <br />Effective April 1, 1988, whenever the City is compelled by appropriate legal <br />process to implement a garnishment on the wages of an employee more than <br />once, for each garnishment beyond the original one, the City shall be entitled to <br />deduct from the paycheck of the employee a service charge in the amount of <br />twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for setting up the procedure. <br /> <br />25.7 Shift Trades <br /> <br />The City agrees that employees represented by the Association may, with the <br />written approval of their supervisor, trade duty periods or portions thereof with <br />qualified employees in the same classification. The authorizing official shall <br />determine the qualifications of the employee involved in the trade. The <br />Association agrees that all trades between employees shall be repaid within <br />twelve (12) months and shall not involve any additional compensation to the <br />employees involved. <br /> <br />All requests for shift trades over one (1) hour shall require the completion of the <br />approved Fire Department form and must be approved by the employee's <br />immediate supervisor. <br /> <br />When an employee completes and signs the approved Fire Department form, <br />they accept full responsibility for the scheduled trade day. If the employee fails <br />to fulfill the agreement they will be held accountable the same as if it were their <br />regular scheduled work time. <br />6.A. - Page 83 of 99 <br />90
