Dedications and <br />improvement and maintenance agreements associated with a final map or parcel map may <br />be accepted and approved by the City Engineer. <br />C. City Council Notification. The City Engineer shall notify the City Council at its next regular <br />meeting after the City Engineer receives the final map or parcel map that the City Engineer <br />is reviewing the map for final approval. The City Council agenda shall include notice of the <br />City Engineer’s pending approval or disapproval, which notice shall also be mailed to <br />interested parties requesting notice. <br />D. Approval. The City Engineer shall approve or disapprove the final map within 10 days <br />following the City Council meeting where notice was given pursuant to subsection C above. <br />E. Periodic Review. The City Council shall periodically review the delegation of authority for <br />final map and parcel map approval granted to the City Engineer. <br />F. Recordation. Except as provided by Government Code Section 66493, after the City <br />approves a final map or parcel map, the City Engineer shall transmit the map to the County <br />Recorder. The final map or parcel map becomes valid and goes into effect after it is filed by <br />the County Recorder. <br />Article VI – Dedications and Reservations <br />Sec. 30.32. – REQUIRED DEDICATIONS: <br />A. As a condition of approval of a tentative map or tentative parcel map, the subdivider shall <br />dedicate or make an irrevocable offer of dedication of land within the subdivision, all rights, <br />title, and interests necessary for public use, including but not limited to streets, alleys, <br />including access rights and abutter's rights, drainage, public utility easements, and other <br />public easements. <br />B. The size, dimensions, and other characteristics of dedicated property shall be consistent <br />with all required City standards and policies. <br />Sec. 30.33. – ACCEPTANCE AND REJECTION OF DEDICATIONS: <br />A. Acceptance. <br />1. At the time the City Engineer approves a final map or parcel map, the City shall <br />also accept, accept subject to improvement, or reject any offer of dedication. The <br />City Clerk shall certify or state on the map the City’s action.
