REV: 09-26-24 VR <br />Recommendations may include, but not be limited to: <br />• Adjustments to staffing, workload, or a combination thereof to bring services to a <br />sustainable level. <br />• Alternative service delivery models or innovations to address some or all identified <br />staffing shortfalls or operational issues. <br />• Guidelines for recommended future staffing level increases that may be associated <br />with new parks or facilities, including both programming and maintenance needs. <br />• Identification of operations and/ or functions that could be consolidated between <br />divisions, within the department and with other City departments, as well as efforts <br />that may be duplicative with other community organizations <br />• Training and development recommendations <br />• Opportunities to align with best practices and industry standards <br />4.2 Visioning Workshop. <br />Conduct a visioning workshop with City staff and leadership. The visioning workshop will <br />focus on the key findings from the organizational assessment. Carefully review each <br />finding and talk about potential opportunities for enhancement, improvement, and change <br />Upon satisfactory completion of Deliverable 4, Key Findings Matrix, and submittal of <br />invoice in accordance with Section 6 (Compensation), City shall pay the Phase 4 fixed <br />fee of $9,436. <br />Phase 5: Final Report, Presentations, and Implementation Plan <br />Phase 5 includes one on-site visit for the presentation of the draft report. <br />5.1 Goals, Strategies, and Action items. <br />Summarize and synthesize all research and stakeholder input and develop <br />recommendations and priorities into a Draft Organizational Assessment. Develop goals, <br />strategies, and action items to be included in the Organizational Assessment. Work with <br />the City’s Steering Committee to prioritize, goals, strategies, and action items. <br />5.2 Implementation Plan <br />Include in the Assessment an Implementation Plan to serve as a roadmap to guide the <br />PRCS Department, as well as any other affected City departments, including <br />recommendations that can be implemented immediately (within one year), in the short <br />term (within three years), and in the long term (in five to ten years). Identify any <br />dependencies and interrelationships between activities within the recommended <br />implementation schedule. <br />5.3 Facilitate a review session with the City to make any appropriate edits needed. <br />5.4 Facilitate a Presentation. <br />Present the updated Organizational Assessment to City leadership to provide an <br />opportunity for them to ask questions and request final edits. <br />ATTY/AGR.2024.173/Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker, LLC (PRCS Department Assessment) (Page 15 of 16)
