<br />ATTY/RESO.0111/PC RESO STANFORD BLOCK E <br />REV: 11-30-23 VR <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />WHEREAS, Applicant provided a Stanford Redwood City Parking Analysis, <br />prepared by Fehr & Peers to support a request for a 30 percent parking reduction in Phase <br />2, Block E; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 28, 2023, the Subdivision Committee conducted a <br />public hearing to consider the proposed Tentative Parcel Map. The Subdivision <br />Committee considered the project and recommended that the Planning Commission <br />approve the Tentative Map; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 24 2023, a public hearing notice was published in the <br />San Mateo Daily Journal and mailed to interested parties and all property owners within <br />300 feet of the Property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 5, 2023, the Planning Commission considered the staff <br />reports, oral and written, and testimony and materials presented by all those wishing to <br />be heard on this Project at the noticed public hearing on this matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 5, 2023, the Planning Commission conducted a duly <br />noticed public hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the State <br />Planning and Zoning Law, the Redwood City Code, and the Redwood City Zoning <br />Ordinance, to consider approval of the Project, and received and considered oral and <br />written reports and application materials; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered a CEQA Consistency Checklist <br />and its findings prepared by the City Planning Division’s consultant, David J. Powers and <br />Associates, the previously certified Stanford in Redwood City Environmental Impact <br />Report (the “EIR”) (State Clearinghouse #2008102023), including the Statement of <br />Overriding Considerations in City Council Resolution No. 15294, as part of the City’s <br />consideration of the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commission determined that the proposed Project is consistent <br />with the Precise Plan goals, development standards, and urban design guidelines and <br />applicable provisions of the Redwood City Municipal Code and Zoning Ordinance, and <br />Subdivision Map Act. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Evidentiary Basis: The Planning Commission independently heard, <br />considered, and weighed all the evidence in the record, including without limitation the <br />staff report and the application materials, the EIR, planned community permit, tentative <br />parcel map, and all other documents, reports, studies, memoranda, maps, oral and <br />written testimony, and materials in the City’s file for the applications and the Project, and <br />all adopted City planning documents relating to the Project and the property including the <br />City’s General Plan, Municipal Code, Zoning Ordinance, the Precise Plan, and other <br />applicable City laws and regulations, and all associated approved and certified
