Learn why this is important <br />Dear Redwood City City Council, <br />I am writing to express my strong support of the City of Redwood City Sanctuary City <br />Ordinance. Sanctuary city policies have been shown to make communities safer, and it is <br />important to me to maintain a Redwood City that is safe and inclusive of all residents <br />regardless of their immigration status. <br />Multiple studies have shown how communities with sanctuary city policies experience less <br />crime and a better economy compared to nonsanctuary counties (see here and here for <br />examples). <br />Immigrants are beloved and essential members of our community who contribute daily to the <br />success of Redwood City.
