From:Cathy Baird
To:publiccomment
Subject:Ordinance: Restricting use of city resources to assist or cooperate with immigration authorities
Date:Friday, November 22, 2024 5:30:37 PM
You don't often get email from cathy_baird@yahoo.com. Learn why this is important
Council members:
As a member of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) San Mateo, and as a regular volunteer in
Redwood City, I support an ordinance restricting the use of Redwood City resources to cooperate with
immigration authorities.
I value the contributions of immigrants to the culture and economy of the mid-Peninsula. I honor and
value the dignity of all people in our community.
This ordinance will be a valuable step in protecting the community from potentially indiscriminate actions
by immigration authorities.
Cathy Baird
Member of SURJ San Mateo
