Ordinance restricting use of city resources to assist I.C.E.
To: <council@redwoodcity.org>, Nina G <nina.goodale111@gmail.com>
Dear Members of the City Council,
As a resident deeply invested in Redwood City's future, I am advocating for the passage of the
proposed sanctuary ordinance that would limit city resource use in federal immigration
enforcement.
Our community thrives because of its diversity. When any of our neighbors live in fear of
accessing basic services or interacting with local government, it weakens the fabric of our
entire city. This ordinance would help ensure that children can attend school without worry,
families can report crimes safely, and workers can contribute to our local economy with
confidence.
The measure represents a practical step toward making our "Welcoming City" designation
meaningful in everyday life. It would align Redwood City with other Bay Area communities
that have successfully implemented similar protections.
Please include this crucial ordinance on the December 16 agenda and vote in favor of its
passage.
Very best,
Steven Goodale
--
Very best,
Steven Goodale
