For the <br />purposes of this CEQA analysis, the proposed project consists of removal of the existing floating <br />dock and berths and associated utilities. <br />Article 19 of the State CEQA Guidelines includes, as required by Public Resources Code (PRC) Section <br />21084, a list of classes of projects that have been determined not to have a significant effect on the <br />environment and, as a result, are exempt from review under CEQA. This document has been <br />prepared to serve as the basis for compliance with CEQA as it pertains to the proposed project. This <br />document demonstrates that the proposed project qualifies for a Categorical Exemption (CE) as an <br />Existing Facility (Class I), consistent with the provisions of State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 and <br />that none of the exceptions to the categorical exemptions in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply <br />and as such provides information for the City of Redwood City (City) as the Lead Agency regarding a <br />finding that the proposed project is exempt under CEQA. <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The following describes the proposed Docktown Marina Project that is the subject of this CE <br />Memorandum prepared pursuant to CEQA.
