New Year’s Eve (added in trade of 1 administrative holiday effective <br />January 1, 2012) <br />14. Two administrative holidays beginning effective January 1, 2012, and such <br />other days as may be proclaimed local holidays. <br /> <br />The following holiday pay rules will not apply to Administrative Holidays. The <br />following holiday pay rules apply on the actual holiday, regardless of which day <br />City Hall recognizes the holiday: <br /> <br />o If an employee works on an above-listed holiday that falls on the <br />employee’s regularly scheduled workday, the employee will be <br />compensated at time-and-one-half (1.5) for hours worked on the holiday, <br />plus ten (10) hours of holiday pay at straight time. <br /> <br />o If an above-listed holiday falls on an employee's regularly scheduled <br />workday, and the employee requests and is granted the day off, the <br />employee will receive ten (10) hours of holiday time off paid at straight <br />time. <br /> <br />o If an employee works on an above-listed holiday that falls on the <br />employee’s regularly scheduled day off, the employee will be compensated <br />at time-and-one-half (1.5) for hours worked on the holiday, plus ten (10) <br />hours of holiday pay at time and a half; <br /> <br />o If an above-listed holiday falls on an employee's regularly scheduled day <br />off, and the employee does not work on the holiday, the employee will <br />receive ten (10) hours of holiday pay at time and one-half (1.5); <br /> <br />o No employee will be required to take time off for a holiday. <br /> <br />In the event any of the holidays specified in this section occurs while an employee <br />is on vacation or sick leave, the holiday shall not be charged as vacation or sick <br />leave. <br /> <br />In the event that any Administrative Holiday has not been used by December 31st, <br />payment will be made no later than the first pay period in February. <br />6.I. - Page 30 of 84 <br />260
