The proposed Amendment No. 1 would authorize <br />payment t for services rendered for the period between October 6, 2024 and the effective date of <br />Amendment No. 1. <br />ANALYSIS <br />In 2023, the City held a competitive bidding process and received three bids for the original contract, and <br />awarded the contract to FolgerGraphics, Inc. as the other bidders, CAL Printing and Casey Printing, <br />submitted proposals that exceeded FolgerGraphics, Inc. cost and could not provide the correct paper in <br />the specs. FolgerGraphics, Inc. has been providing printing services to the Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services Department for many years, and staff have been very pleased with FolgerGraphics, <br />Inc.'s professionalism, timeliness, and quality of product. <br />Staff recommends extending the original contract for an additional one-year term and authorize the City <br />Manager to further extend the contract by additional one-year term as specified in the Amendment No.1. <br />Amount Term <br />Original Agreement $85,000 10/6/2023-10/5/2024 <br />Amendment No.1 $85,000 10/6/2024-10/5/2025 <br />Optional extension $85,000 10/6/2025-10/5/2026 <br />Total $255,000 10/6/2023-10/5/2026 (3 years) <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Appropriate funding is already allocated in the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department <br />annual marketing budget for the printing of the quarterly Recreation Activity Guide in the amount of <br />$85,000 per year; no additional funds are required. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />5.B. - Page 2 of 25 <br />40
