REV: 11-01-24 LF <br />Exhibit “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant will prepare and file all the City’s eligible fiscal year state mandate cost reimbursement <br />claims for which claiming instructions are issued for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. In addition, <br />Consultant will prepare and document new or first-time claims, as well as claims that require <br />amendment. Consultant will: <br />1) Collect all relevant claim data and prepare and file all fiscal year 2023-2024 actual <br />cost claims based on the State Controller’s claiming instructions issued during each fiscal <br />year. <br />2) Collect all relevant claim data and prepare and file newly claimable programs for <br />which the State Controller issues claiming instructions during fiscal year 2024-2025. <br />3) Provide a minimum of one on-site visit in order to train and inform City staff of <br />appropriate data collection methods. <br />4) Provide regular project status and SB90 budget updates to the City’s designated <br />SB90 coordinator. <br />5) Provide data collection forms and assistance to the City to prepare new claims that <br />are approved by the CSM (Commission on State Mandates) during the term of the <br />Agreement where the minimum cost threshold will be met. <br />6) Assist the City with mandated cost questions from the State Controller’s Office. <br />7) Assist the City with desk reviews and/or field audits <br />WORKPLAN <br />Consultant will provide the following services for all claims as follows: <br />Schedule at least one site visit per year to conduct meetings and interviews with <br />individual departments and other interested staff affected by each mandate. <br />Establish a mutually agreeable timeframe and plan for data collection by City staff <br />in order to meet claiming deadlines. <br />Review the timeframe according to the agreed upon schedule, and, if necessary, <br />revise to accommodate the City staff timetables. <br />ATTY/AGR.2024/Amend.
