Below is a summary of the Project
efforts from the first quarter (July 1 – September 30) and the second quarter (October 1 – December
31).
First and Second Quarter Report
Reporting Period: July 1st, 2024 – December 31st, 2024
In the first two quarters of FY 2024-2025, Project Sentinel received 102 unduplicated calls from Redwood
City residents and housing providers. Of these calls, 38 were Information and Referral calls, 49 calls
developed into cases and 15 callers were non-responsive and a voice message was left. Of these 102 calls,
76 were made by individuals who identified as tenants, 12 were made by individuals who identified as
landlords, and the 14 non-responsive callers did not identify themselves. The most frequent topics for
these calls included habitability inquiries, eviction/termination notices, and rent increases.
In addition to the 102 calls, Project Sentinel also reached an additional 46 people through outreach
activities, serving a total of 144 individuals. These additional outreach activities included eight virtual
tenant and landlord educational workshops, four in English and four in Spanish. Additionally, Project
Sentinel held two trainings for Redwood City staff.
Promotion for the Counseling Services Project has included posts on the City’s social media pages,
outreach to key stakeholders, print and e-newsletters, flyer distributions, and promotion to Redwood
City School District parents.
Project Sentinel notes that the virtual workshops they held have not garnered as much participation as
originally anticipated. To address this, they plan on holding in-person workshops starting in the third
quarter of FY 2024-2025.
8.A. - Page 15 of 21
173
