From:Merrily Robinson
To:GRP-City Council; Forward of Internet E-Mail
Subject:Garbage bill hikes!!
Date:Monday, January 27, 2025 11:40:08 AM
How come it is the people who are REDUCING the most garbage are having the BIGGEST
increases?!?!?
We have a family of 4 (four) and we have reduced our garbage by smashing (reducing),
recycling, composting (rot), repairing, regifting and by
rethinking our garbage BUT we are told WE have to pay MORE than those people who have
not done their part!
I, far too often see blue bins filled with plastic bags full of recyclable items! These plastic bags
and other non-recyclable items damage the
the machinery, which costs Recology to fix and need to raise the rates!! FINE & PUNISH
them not all of us who are responsible!
Is the City of Redwood City willing to allow three neighbors to have ONE -64 gallon can
instead of our THREE - 20 gallon cans??
It would save $$$ money for us and we will still have room in our can!!!
Neighbor #1 = 2 adults,
Neighbor #2 = 2 adults &
us, Neighbor #3 has 4 adults!
Please consider our idea of neighborhood cooperation!!
Merrily Robinson
952 Ruby St
650766-2332
