STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br /> 8.A. Consideration of a phased approach to allowing digital billboards in Redwood City, <br />with phase one allowing one digital billboard in Redwood City (610) <br /> <br />Acting City Manager Patrick Heisinger introduced the item, and Economic Development <br />Manager Amanda Anthony gave a presentation. <br /> <br />The following members of the public provided comments: <br />• Chris Macintosh <br />• Pat Willard <br />• Alice Kaufman, Green Foothills <br />• Gita Dev <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Authorize a phased approach to the City’s consideration of digital billboards and direct <br />staff to prepare a solicitation to allow one billboard in Redwood City. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br /> <br />Motion and second, Aguirre and Espinoza-Garnica, to authorize a phased approach to <br />the City’s consideration of digital billboards and direct staff to prepare a solicitation to <br />allow one billboard in Redwood City, passed 6-1 with Council Member Eakin opposed. <br /> <br />9.
