IDEAL Update - February 2025 | Page 5 <br />We have a big appetite and limited resources! <br />This year, our focus is on evaluation and <br />planning for the next phase of work. <br />Key equity projects in the upcoming year: <br />Five-Year Equity Impact Report <br />IDEAL Evaluation Framework <br />Economic Mobility Action Plan <br />Police Department dashboard <br />update <br />Youth participatory budgeting <br />These items are likely to come to <br />Council through the City Council <br />Equity and Social Justice Sub- <br />Committee and updates from <br />the City Manager. <br />Engines of <br />Change <br />Looking Forward <br />Since 2020, the City has <br />developed several lasting <br />structures to support <br />institutional change. <br />These structures help <br />drive our improvement <br />now and in the future. <br />While there is much more we want <br />to do, Redwood City is at the leading <br />edge of equity work in cities our size. <br />We are leading the next wave of <br />equity work through state and <br />national professional groups including: <br />CalCities Advancing Equity Advisory <br /> Committee <br />Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) <br />California Innovation cohort <br />GARE Jurisdiction Evaluation Learning Exchange <br />International City/County Manager’s Association <br />Economic Mobility and Opportunity cohort <br />National League of Cities Youth Excel cohort <br />5.A. - Page 75 of 75 <br />77
