City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
ANALYSIS
This amendment expands the scope of work to include integration between the City’s permit system
provided by CentralSquare Technologies and the City’s customer relationship management system (also
known as the myRWC app) for non-emergency service requests provided by Accela. As a result, the public,
staff, and Council members will be able to track status updates of cases submitted to the City’s myRWC
app in Buildingeye’s online AgencyCounter platform. Through this platform, Council members and staff
will also be able to access a dashboard with periodic reports on myRWC cases as well as planning and
permit applications aggregated by Council district. Currently, the periodic reports provided to Council with
case activity form the myRWC app are compiled through a labor-intensive manual process.
Additionally, this amendment will enable staff to track City code enforcement cases within Buildingeye’s
AgencyCounter platform. Currently, the AgencyCounter platform only hosts planning and permit
applications. Whereas planning and permit applications are accessible to the public, code enforcement
cases will only be accessible to staff.
Together, these changes will improve the City’s ability to compile information for City Council, staff, and
public use, improve customer service and foster strategic decision making.
FISCAL IMPACT
City staff seeks to increase the current agreement with Buildingeye by $50,000, with a total agreement
amount not to exceed $148,350. Funding for this agreement included in the City’s GIS operating budget
and is funded by dedicated permit fee revenue. The term will remain the same as stated in the original
agreement.
Amount Term
Original Agreement $98,350 April 24, 2024-April 23, 2028
Amendment No. 1 (Proposed)$50,000 April 24, 2024-April 23, 2028
Total $148,350 April 24, 2024-April 23, 2028
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA
Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably
foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
6.H. - Page 2 of 35
113
